About the role

For a regulated manufacturing environment in the Nijmegen region, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician.

In this role, you are responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration activities, line support and troubleshooting. You contribute directly to equipment reliability, operational continuity, compliance and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to ensure that equipment performs safely, reliably and in line with applicable GMP, ISO, safety and environmental requirements. Accurate documentation in the eCMMS system is an important part of the role.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to site schedules and procedures.
  • Perform calibration activities in line with applicable requirements and procedures.
  • Support the development and updating of calibration plans, FMEAs and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Contribute to calibration uncertainty calculations.
  • Ensure equipment operates at optimal performance levels.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to production.
  • Support safe and reliable equipment performance on the production line.
  • Apply structured root-cause analysis to resolve equipment and process issues.
  • Manage maintenance- and calibration-related non-conformances.
  • Assess the quality impact of technical interventions.
  • Support the installation, commissioning and validation of new or upgraded equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant maintenance records in the eCMMS system.
  • Maintain high 5S standards in maintenance areas.
  • Work in full compliance with GMP, ISO, safety, environmental and internal procedures.
  • Ensure maintenance activities remain audit-ready at all times.

Requirements

You are a practical and technically strong maintenance professional who works accurately in a regulated environment. You understand the importance of equipment reliability, documentation and compliance in a manufacturing setting.

You can provide hands-on technical support, investigate issues structurally and collaborate effectively with Engineering, Production and Quality.

Your background

  • MBO 4 or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance and calibration.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or medical device industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP and/or ISO standards is preferred.
  • Experience with eCMMS systems is a plus.
  • Advanced technical training in a relevant area of expertise is preferred.
  • Electrical certification is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Accurate working style and strong attention to documentation.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Dutch language skills are preferred.
